HVDC transmission has uses and advantages that is not possible
to be achieved and replaced by HVAC transmission. The technology
of HVDC transmission has been widely applied and profoundly
developed in China in the construction of Three Gorges Hydro-Power
Project. Since the 1980s, XD Group has been involved in the
introduction of technology and the manufacture of equipment
in all seven (7) China both completed and ongoing HVDC transmission
engineering projects. From technology introdution of BBC to
the joint-production and cooperation with industry pioneers
SIEMENS and ABB, XD Group is growing more mature in terms of
technology in the manufacturing of DC transmission equipment
and has become the leader of this field in China. Recently,
in joint production and cooperation with both SIEMENS and ABB
for the Three Gorges project and ¡°West to East electricity Transmission¡±
project in China, we supplied equipment for sections from Three
Gorges to Changzhou, Three Gorges to Guangdong, and Guizhou
to Guangdong projects. XD Group has etched a milestone that
has successfully produced complete thyristor valves and tens
¡À500kV converter transformers and smoothing reactors whose quality
have matched international standards.
